Founder/President
The visionary behind UGH, Marsa's sole motivation since 2007, has been focused on research and development of University Gone Hollywood. In 2009, she began hand picking her board of advisors and founded the nonprofit organization. Her years of experience in the hospitality industry and as a five year volunteer for the current Ashland Independent Film Festival only adds to her many talents. Her background includes management of the SOU Productions, a student film festival organizer for SOU, and as a successful art curator in Ashland for 5 years. She is a published columnist and has also designed many marketing aspects, including web videos, and all aspects of public notice and television PSA’s. Marsa is currently the instructor for Josephine County Field Production Certification Workshops. She is also the award winning producer of Southern Oregon Artists at Large and Southern Oregon Art World as well as many other awards for her productions.
Chrisitine Florence
Marketing Director
Having worked as a professional marketer for 25 years, Christine is now pursuing a master in management degree at Southern Oregon University (SOU). While employed as executive director of marketing and communication for SOU, Christine worked with film students on their production of movie trailers that run in more than 100 theaters on the northern California and Oregon coast. As director of marketing for Central Michigan University, Christine worked with an upstart film company to produce Telly-award-winning TV spots. Her background also includes 10 years as a trustee for KRCL-FM community radio.
Administrative Assistant
Bonnie has been involved in Marin County, California theater for over a decade. A dancer by training, Bonnie has performed in Chicago and the Bay Area. Off stage, she has contributed her time and creativity to costume design, choreography, as well as procuring and improvising props for IAM productions since 1999. A proponent of student arts enrichment, Bonnie has volunteered her time and talent to productions that benefit the Ross Valley School District. An imaginative millineress, Bonnie has created outrageous and glamorous designs that have graced the heads of actors in such shows as A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Pippin, Hello, Dolly!, Kiss Me Kate, The Secret Garden, City of Angels, Mame, Anything Goes, Sweeney Todd, and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.
Karen Keister
Fundraising Director
Karen has nearly 30 years experience of computer software skills, especially with databases, data warehouses and accounting in the corporate world. She is currently working in Ashland at Massif Mountain Gear as a staff accountant/data analyst. During a recent sabbatical she was a line producer for a series of network marketing product-based videos. She also has experience as a crew member for a number of public access television segments.
Her passion for films as a medium for storytelling brings her to UGH, along with her interest in films as a business enterprise. Additionally, she volunteers her ‘left brained skills’ with Dancing People Company, an innovative modern dance repertory based in Ashland.
Public Relations Director
A lover of people and life in all its forms, Dennis has moved successfully throughout his career in marketing, sales and public relations. Since moving from Southern Callifornia to the Rogue Valley in 2004, Dennis's main interest is in the arts, where he has participated in plays, commercials, movies and writing.Since 2004, Dennis has appeared in Fahrenheit 451, The Dresser, Man of La Mancha, and La Boheme. He authored and narrated The Camelot Theatre's Spotlight on Tony Bennett, as well as their Spotlight on Duke Ellington. He has worked on a few local commercials and fund raisers. Dennis has participated as both an actor and a narrator/stage direction reader in: We will Remember: A Tribute to Veterans, Ginger's Folly, and Quarter Moon One. He has been in the films Conversations with God, Calvin Marshall, Tomorrow Recedes, The Unlikely Matchmaker, Orchards of Mine and Dauntless Legend: Ire of the Vile. In 2009, he published his first titles, a collection of three inspirational books entitled, Love Songs From The Heart.
IT Specialist/Team Management Director
Brynn comes from the corporate world as an IT Specialist with extensive work in customer relations and team management. Her last position was managing two separate customer service teams for Sears, Inc.
